History Of WAMA AERO Innovations

Wama Aero Innovations was founded in 2023 to close a gap that limits pilot training across Uganda and the wider region: imported flight simulators and training devices are expensive, difficult to source, and rarely built with local training conditions in mind. Flight schools and aviation academies are left choosing between costly foreign equipment or training entirely without simulation support.

We started Wama Aero to change that — by designing and manufacturing flight training devices locally, at a cost and turnaround that African flight schools and civil aviation academies can actually work with, without compromising on the fidelity trainees need to build real skill.
Every simulator we build is engineered in-house — from cockpit structure and control loading to avionics replication and visual systems — with the goal of making high-fidelity simulation training accessible to a much wider range of aviation institutions across Africa.

What types of simulators does Wama Aero Innovation build?

Wama Aero designs and manufactures simulators for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/drones). These simulators are tailored for training, education, or research and can include cockpit replicas, visual systems, and motion platforms.

What are the system requirementsfor Wama simulators?

Wama simulators are optimized for both custom-built and commercial-grade systems. Minimum requirements include a multi-core processor (Intel i5/Ryzen 5 or higher), 16GB RAM, dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1660 or higher), SSD storage, and support for Windows 10 or Linux Ubuntu. For ATC and multi-station setups, network support and dual-display configurations are recommended.

Can Wama Aero customize simulators for schools and training institutions?

Absolutely. We specialize in building custom flight simulator kits for aviation academies, STEM labs, and drone training centers. We also offer curriculum integration to ensure the simulators align with your educational goals.

Do you offer training services using your simulators?

Yes. Wama Aero provides simulator-based training for student pilots, drone operators, and aviation professionals. Our programs cover emergency scenarios, crew resource management (CRM), and real-world flight operations.

Can existing simulators be upgraded or serviced by Wama Aero?

Definitely. We offer maintenance, repair, and upgrade services for both our own simulators and third-party units. We can enhance systems with newer hardware, software updates, and VR/AR capabilities.
